Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty.
An official Marvel Captain America game with an original story and a custom soundtrack, plus Universal support, Game Center and Retina Display graphics. $4.99/£2.99.
Vibop!
A video sharing app with several custom effects included and others available as in-app purchases. Videos can be shared via Facebook, YouTube and email. Free.
Xtreme Wheels.
Take on some extreme courses in this motocross arcade game, complete with Game Center, fantastic graphics enhanced for the Retina Display and the iPad 2, plus universal support. $3.99/£2.49.
9mm.
The latest action game from Gameloft has iPad 2 optimized graphics and a multiplayer mode. It’s universal for the iPhone and iPad, and looks pretty violent for an App Store release. $6.99/£4.99.
Dragon Go!
A verbal search app built around Nuance’s voice recognition system used on the Dragon Dictation app. Provided your iOS device has an external microphone, iOS 4 or later and 3G or Wi-Fi, just tell it what you’re looking for and get results back without any typing. Free.
Special Enquiry Detail: The Hand That Feeds.
The latest hidden object game from G5 has a murder mystery setting, 12 chapters and 30 different locations. The app is free to download, however the full game will cost $4.99/£2.99 as an in-app purchase. Free.
Photovine.
A photo sharing app from Google, where you start a topic – called a Vine – and people add photos related to it, creating an interactive photo-sharing network. It’s invite only at the moment though. Free.
Star Trek PADD.
A Star Trek encyclopedia with the look of The Next Generation’s LCARS computer. It is completely authentic to the show and for the iPad only. $4.99/£2.99.
