PicPlz has been updated to version 1.7.0, bringing with it two new filters and a new option to save your altered picture in your Photo Gallery. The app is a cross-platform photo-sharing social network, where users can share snaps on PicPlz’s own site and via Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Foursquare and plenty of others.
You can alter your photos using any of the included filters, and two new ones were added in this update: C-41 and Redscale. You can see an example of each below, and both can be selected with or without a border too.
Saving images in your Photo Gallery once you’ve applied one of these filters is a mixed blessing, as if you’re anything like me you already save a non-HDR and an HDR version, so you can easily end up with at least three versions of the same picture! Thankfully you can turn the option off under the settings, but I’d have rather seen a tickbox option when posting the image so I have the choice without going into the Settings.
PicPlz is free to download and is easily on a par with Instagram, and benefits from its cross-platform status.
